Where We Started – From Shared Vision to Innovation
It all started when three dentists met at specialized dental events in Iran. They came from different backgrounds but shared a common vision: to harness new technologies to enhance the healthcare ecosystem. Their passion for innovation and their drive to make high-quality dental diagnostics more accessible and affordable led to an ambitious idea—developing a better, more affordable 3D scanning solution for dental use case.
With determination and complementary expertise, they began developing a prototype. As the project took shape, new co-founders joined the team: a clinic owner and manager with deep knowledge of real-world dental workflows, and a computer scientist with expertise in AI development. Together, they formed a multidisciplinary team, working on both hardware (the scanner) and software to make high-precision dental scanning more effective. However, as they progressed, they discovered something even more transformative—the true power lay not just in scanning but in the data it generated. This realization marked a turning point in their journey.

What We Are Focused On – A New Vision for Healthcare
As the team moved forward with their scanner prototype and software, they identified a greater opportunity: using AI-driven oral health data to detect early symptoms of systemic diseases. The pivot was clear—shift from being a hardware-focused company to building a comprehensive AI-powered platform that leverages oral health data for preventive healthcare.
Now, Smile Synthetics is developing an AI platform that analyzes oral health data gathered from 3D scanners, test kits, and other digital health tools. This technology enables early detection of not only dental conditions but also potential systemic health issues, offering valuable insights for both dentists and healthcare providers.
We are currently in the first phase of our journey, focused on technology development and building our MVP. But our vision extends far beyond this—our goal is to transform preventive healthcare by integrating AI, data-driven diagnostics, and accessible screening solutions.
At Smile Synthetics, we started with a mission to improve dental scanning. Today, we are building a future where oral health data serves as a gateway to early detection and better healthcare outcomes—one scan, one insight, one smile at a time.
